Chiropractic traction is a widely used treatment for low back pain.

By applying force to the patient’s spine through body weight, weights, and/or pulleys, a chiropractor is able to gently stretch the spine and draw apart the vertebrae.

Back Pain
Many types of disorders can cause back pain, including those defined as mechanical and/or compressive. Mechanical back pain is often the result of an injury or a degenerative disorder that affects the discs, joints, ligaments, and/or muscles. Compressive pain is the result of a pinched, or compressed, nerve root.
There are conservative forms of back pain treatment, which may include non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medication, muscle relaxant, a prescription drug for pain during the acute phase, and chiropractic therapy. Along with these therapies, spinal traction may be recommended.

Chiropractic traction is a therapeutic option for patients who are suffering from cervical, low back, or radiating pain that is caused by bulging or herniated discs or disc degenerative disorder. The aim is to accomplish one or more of the following: pull apart, or distract, the vertebrae; distract and glide the facet joints; widen openings to the spinal canal formed by the vertebrae (also known as the intervertebral foramen); or stretch spinal soft tissue. By widening the space between vertebrae and releasing pressure from the affected disc, pain can be greatly reduced.

Uses of the combo unit for ultrasound and electro steam machine

Ultrasound therapy is used to minimize muscle pain and movement dysfunction.
Therapeutic ultrasound uses sound waves to deliver deep heat to the treated tissues. The treatments may help reduce stiffness, swelling, and pain, increase circulation, and promote pain-free movement.
Ultrasound therapy may be used alone or in conjunction with stretching, therapeutic massage, heat, or gentle chiropractic manipulation. Ultrasound therapy is a painless procedure, and many people find it relaxing.
Electro stimulation:
Electrical muscle stimulation (EMS), or muscle stim, is a chiropractic therapy typically applied to a patient who has a lot of pain or spasm in the area of injury or complaint. When electrical muscle stimulation is performed, mild electrical current is applied to cause fast contraction to the muscles.
Electrical muscle stimulation gives the patient a tingling sensation, which for most is very soothing.
The fast contractions of the muscle experienced during this chiropractic therapy help to fatigue the muscle and allow it to relax, settling the spasm. The fast contraction also causes the body to release endorphins.
The endorphins are the body’s natural pain killers, and so they help to reduce pain sensation to the area.
